1. Introduction
Statify ("Statify," "we," "us," or "our") provides a Windows desktop application, an optional browser extension, and related online services that help you manage Discord Rich Presence. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Statify.
By using Statify, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The Statify desktop application for Windows
- The Statify browser extension for Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, and similar)
- Statify account, authentication, and billing web pages
- The Statify backend API used for accounts, licensing, and device management
This policy does not apply to third-party services you connect to through Statify, such as Discord, streaming platforms, or payment processors. Those services have their own privacy policies.
3. Information we do not collect for presence
Statify is designed so that detailed presence data from the browser extension is not sent to our servers.
When you use the browser extension, information about your active tab on supported websites (such as page title, URL, and selected public page fields) is transmitted only to the Statify desktop application on your own computer over a local connection (127.0.0.1). We do not receive, store, or analyze your browsing activity on our servers for Rich Presence purposes.
Similarly, window-title detection performed by the desktop app occurs locally on your device. We do not upload your full window history or screen contents to Statify servers.
4. Information processed locally on your device
The following information is processed and stored locally on your computer unless you explicitly export it or choose to use an optional third-party service you configure yourself:
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Application settings | Integration toggles, templates, schedules, themes | Operate Statify according to your preferences |
| Presence configuration | Custom Rich Presence text, images, buttons, timestamps | Display your chosen Discord activity |
| Window titles | Titles of open applications and browser tabs | Detect supported integrations when the extension is not in use |
| Extension bridge data | Scraped fields from supported sites | Build detailed Rich Presence when the extension is connected |
| Local identifiers | Per-install device ID used with your account | Register this installation with your Statify account |
Local data is stored in application data directories on your device (for example, configuration files in your user profile). You may export or delete local configuration through Statify settings.
5. Information collected when you create an account
When you register for a Statify account, sign in, purchase a license, or use our backend services, we may collect and store:
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifiers | Clerk user ID, internal user ID | Authenticate you and manage your account |
| Contact information | Email address | Account communication, receipts, and support |
| Authentication data | Session tokens, refresh token metadata (hashed), PKCE challenge data | Secure sign-in and session management |
| Billing information | Stripe customer ID, payment status, purchase records, invoice metadata | Process your lifetime license purchase |
| Device information | Device ID, device name, platform, last seen timestamp | Device registration and soft device limits |
| Entitlement status | Whether your license is active, revoked, or refunded | Control access to paid features |
| Technical logs | Server error logs, webhook event IDs (Stripe) | Operate, secure, and debug our services |
We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment card data is collected and processed directly by Stripe on their secure checkout pages.
6. Browser extension data
The Statify browser extension:
- Reads the active tab only on supported websites listed in the extension documentation
- Accesses page title, URL, and selected public DOM fields needed to build Rich Presence
- Sends that information only to the Statify desktop app on localhost
- Does not send browsing data to Statify remote servers
- Does not include analytics or advertising trackers in the extension code
If the desktop app is not running or not connected, the extension does not transmit presence data off your device for Statify backend processing.
You control which integrations use detailed presence through the desktop app settings.
7. How we use your information
We use information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Statify
- Authenticate users and manage accounts
- Process one-time lifetime license purchases and verify entitlement
- Register and manage devices linked to your account

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your local browsing or presence content for advertising.
8. Legal bases for processing
Depending on your location and the type of data involved, we process personal information based on:
- Performance of a contract: To provide Statify and fulfill your purchase
- Legitimate interests: To secure our services, prevent abuse, and improve reliability, balanced against your rights
- Legal obligation: Where required by applicable law
- Consent: Where you have given clear consent, such as optional configurations you enable
9. How we share information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
| Recipient | What is shared | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Service providers | Account, billing, and device data as needed | Host authentication (Clerk), payments (Stripe), and infrastructure |
| Discord (local client) | Rich Presence activity you choose to display | Sent from your device to the Discord desktop app via local IPC, not through Statify servers |
| Optional Supabase (user-configured) | Images or files you upload if you configure Supabase in settings | You provide your own Supabase credentials; we do not operate Supabase for you |
| Law enforcement or regulators | Information required by valid legal process | When required by law or to protect rights and safety |
| Business transfers | Account and billing records | In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required |
We do not share your local presence content or extension-scraped browsing details with third parties through our backend, because we do not receive that data on our servers.
10. Third-party services
Statify integrates with or relies on third parties, including:
| Service | Role | Privacy information |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | User authentication and account management | clerk.com/privacy |

Supported streaming, social, and productivity websites may have their own terms and privacy policies. Statify reads limited public page information from those sites only when you visit them and only for presence purposes, as described above.
Statify is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or the operators of third-party websites.
11. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide Statify and honor your lifetime license, unless your account is deleted or access is revoked for cause
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
Billing and webhook records may be retained as required for financial and fraud-prevention purposes. Authentication tokens expire according to configured time-to-live settings. You may request account deletion by contacting us; some records may be retained where required by law.
Local data on your device remains until you uninstall Statify, reset configuration, or delete exported files.
12. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information processed by our backend services, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for web and API traffic
- Hashed storage of refresh token material
- Access controls on production systems
- Webhook verification for Stripe events
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, Statify account credentials, and Discord account.
13. Children's privacy
Statify is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@statify.live and we will take steps to delete such information.
Users must also comply with Discord's minimum age requirements and terms.

Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction. By using Statify, you consent to such transfers where applicable law permits.

16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Statify app, website, or email.
